Aim

To support scientific research in Switzerland beneficial to endodontology.

Description

The grant can be used for acquiring additional equipments or parts of existing equipments needed to conduct a particular study. However, it is not meant to purchase Personal- and/or Practice Computers. The normal upper limit of the grant shall be Swiss Francs 5000 that can be raised in individual cases by the decision of the SSE Executive Board. The grant is annual but can be renewed based on reviewing the progress of the project by the SSE Science Committee. The decision of the SSE Science Committee will be final.

On completion of the study the applicant is expected to submit a short report to the SSE Science Committee.

Eligibility

The applicant must be working in a Swiss Dental School, Research laboratory or Clinical Practice in Switzerland.

How to apply

The following information must accompany a letter of application in German, French or English language:

• The protocol of the proposed research project not exceeding 4 pages. It should contain the aim of the project, a sufficient description of the methodology and references to his/her own work in the area and other key references in the field.
• Proposed costing of the whole project in the form of detailed split-up of expenses needed
• Name and address of any other funding agencies whose support is also sought
• A short curriculum vitae of the applicant
• A recent passport sized photograph
